Sustainability

Lovehayne is making big steps to becoming an off grid centre of excellence for sustainability and regenerative farming

On a mission towards carbon positive regeneration.

We’ve removed oil from the farm and grid dependence for electricity, reduced our carbon emissions by over 70% or 29.461 tCO2e (decarbonisation in Tonnes of Carbon Dioxide Equivalent).

We have installed 80kw of solar panels and battery storage. For perspective at maximum capacity that could boil approximately 450-600 kettles an hour!

Heating and hot water uses this electricity to power heat pumps. We’ve even converted an on site AGA so it can run off the sun’s energy.

Subject to the British weather we hope to cover most of our electricity usage and explore wind and hydro later.

We continue to electrify our vehicles, machinery and optimise our systems on our path to carbon positive and nature regenerative.
